>Obama From the Eyes of The Wall Street Journal

>”Crude Oil” to:

Article from the Wall Street Journal  –  by Eddie Sessions:
“I have this theory about Barack Obama. I think he’s led a kind of make-believe life in which money was provided and doors were opened because at some point early on somebody or some group (George Soros anybody?) took a look at this tall, good looking, half-white, half-black, young man with an exotic African/Muslim name and concluded he could be guided toward a life in politics where his facile speaking skills could even put him in the White House.
In a very real way, he has been a young man in a very big hurry. Who else do you know has written two memoirs before the age of 45? “Dreams of My Father” was published in 1995 when he was only 34 years old. The “Audacity of Hope” followed in 2006. If, indeed, he did write them himself. There are some who think that his mentor and friend, Bill Ayers, a man who calls himself a “communist with a small ‘c'” was the real author.
His political skills consisted of rarely voting on anything that might be deemed controversial. He went from a legislator in the Illinois legislature to the Senator from that state because he had the good fortune of having Mayor Daley’s formidable political machine at his disposal.
He was in the U.S. Senate so briefly that his bid for the presidency was either an act of astonishing self-confidence or part of some greater game plan that had been determined before he first stepped foot in the Capital. How, many must wonder, was he selected to be a 2004 keynote speaker at the Democrat convention that nominated John Kerry when virtually no one had ever even heard of him before?
He outmaneuvered Hillary Clinton in primaries. He took Iowa by storm. A charming young man, an anomaly in the state with a very small black population, he oozed “cool” in a place where agriculture was the antithesis of cool. He dazzled the locals. And he had an army of volunteers drawn to a charisma that hid any real substance.
And then he had the great good fortune of having the Republicans select one of the most inept candidates for the presidency since Bob Dole And then John McCain did something crazy. He picked Sarah Palin, an unknown female governor from the very distant state of Alaska .. It was a ticket that was reminiscent of 1984’s Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro and they went down to defeat.
The mainstream political media fell in love with him. It was a schoolgirl crush with febrile commentators like Chris Mathews swooning then and now over the man. The venom directed against McCain and, in particular, Palin, was extraordinary.
Now, nearly a full 2 years into his first term, all of those gilded years leading up to the White House have left him unprepared to be President. Left to his own instincts, he has a talent for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. It swiftly became a joke that he could not deliver even the briefest of statements without the ever-present Tele-Prompters.
Far worse, however, is his capacity to want to “wish away” some terrible realities, not the least of which is the Islamist intention to destroy America and enslave the West. Any student of history knows how swiftly Islam initially spread. It knocked on the doors of Europe, having gained a foothold in Spain .
The great crowds that greeted him at home or on his campaign “world tour” were no substitute for having even the slightest grasp of history and the reality of a world filled with really bad people with really bad intentions.
Oddly and perhaps even inevitably, his political experience, a cakewalk, has positioned him to destroy the Democrat Party’s hold on power in Congress because in the end it was never about the Party. It was always about his communist ideology, learned at an early age from family, mentors, college professors, and extreme leftist friends and colleagues.
Obama is a man who could deliver a snap judgment about a Boston police officer who arrested an “obstreperous” Harvard professor-friend, but would warn Americans against “jumping to conclusions” about a mass murderer at Fort Hood who shouted “Allahu Akbar.” The absurdity of that was lost on no one. He has since compounded this by calling the Christmas bomber “an isolated extremist” only to have to admit a day or two later that he was part of an al Qaeda plot.
He is a man who could strive to close down our detention facility at Guantanamo even though those released were known to have returned to the battlefield against America . He could even instruct his Attorney General to afford the perpetrator of 9/11 a civil trial when no one else would ever even consider such an obscenity. And he is a man who could wait three days before having anything to say about the perpetrator of yet another terrorist attack on Americans and then have to elaborate on his remarks the following day because his first statement was so lame.
The pattern repeats itself. He either blames any problem on the Bush administration or he naively seeks to wish away the truth.
Knock, knock. Anyone home? Anyone there? Barack Obama exists only as the sock puppet of his handlers, of the people who have maneuvered and manufactured this pathetic individual’s life.
When anyone else would quickly and easily produce a birth certificate, this man has spent over a million dollars to deny access to his. Most other documents, the paper trail we all leave in our wake, have been sequestered from review. He has lived a make-believe life whose true facts remain hidden.
We laugh at the ventriloquist’s dummy, but what do you do when the dummy is President of the United States of America

>A.J. Burnett Proves Just One Thing: He’s Still Wild As….

A.J. Burnett Beans Yankee’s Golson In Spring Practice

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Fright invaded Yankees camp yesterday when A.J. Burnett hit Greg Golson in the head during a morning batting-practice session on a back field at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa.
Golson went down and stayed on the ground. Eventually he was taken off the field on a cart. The outfielder was taken for tests, which were negative.
Because Burnett led the majors with 19 hit-by-pitches last year, it was easy to blame the beaning on erratic control. However, the angle of the intense morning sun in a cloudless sky made picking up the ball difficult for the batter.

Hate-A-Rama: The Vulgar, Sexist, Racist, Homophobic Rage of the Left

Barack Obama’s new era of civility was over before it began. You wouldn’t know it from reading The New York Times, watching Katie Couric or listening to the Democratic manners police. But America has been overrun by foul-mouthed, fist-clenching wildebeests.
Yes, the tea party movement is responsible — for sending these liberal goons into an insane rage, that is. After enduring two years of false smears as sexist, racist, homophobic barbarians, it is grassroots conservatives and taxpayer advocates who have been ceaselessly subjected to rhetorical projectile vomit. It is Obama’s rank-and-file “community organizers” on the streets fomenting the hate against their political enemies. Not the other way around.
The trendy new epithet among Big Labor organizers who’ve been camping out at the Madison, Wis., Capitol building for more than a week to block GOP Gov. Scott Walker’s budget reform bill: “Koch whore.” Classy, huh? It’s a reference to the reviled Koch brothers, David and Charles, who have used their energy-industry wealth to support limited-government activism. A left-wing agitator based in Buffalo who impersonated Koch in a prank phone call this week used the slur to headline his “gonzo journalism” report. (If a right-leaning activist had perpetrated such a stunt, he’d be labeled a radical, stalking fraudster. But that’s par for the media’s double-standards course.)
Sexual vulgarity is a common theme in the left’s self-styled “solidarity” movement. Among the Madison pro-union signs the national media chose not to show you: “Buttholes for Billionaires” (complete with a photo of Walker’s head placed in the middle of a graphic photo of someone’s posterior) and “If teabaggers are as hot as their Fox News anchors, then I’m here for the gang bang!!!”

>Support Scott Walker’s Bid To End Fraud In Wisconsin’s Schools

An Urgent Message from Dick Morris and Our Sponsor the League of American Voters
Dear Reader:
Gov. Scott Walker is close to the finish line and victory — but the battle is not over.
Despite a solid vote of 51-17 in the Wisconsin state assembly to defeat the bloated public employee unions, the state Senate can’t vote because Democrats remain in hiding.
And Gov. Walker has warned of over 12, 000 layoffs of state workers if the the Senate does not pass his bill.
Clearly this week is showdown week!
But Gov. Walker is under fierce attack, and the big unions and President Obama’s leftwing allies are pouring millions — I mean millions! — into Wisconsin to force Gov. Walker and the state Senate to cave.
There are some indications these leftwing efforts are paying off.
Here’s what the New York Times reported Saturday: “Some Republican leaders in other states have moderated their talk against state employee unions in recent days.”
This is why the League of American Voters efforts are so critical.
This is a battle of public opinion that will affect the final vote in the Wisconsin Senate.
The League is already at the forefront in Wisconsin exposing the lies of the public employee unions.
The League of American Voters is the lead group defending and supporting Gov. Scott Walker.
So, far the League has unleashed a barrage of radio ads across the state of Wisconsin demanding that legislators stand with Gov. Walker — and reminding the public that taxpayers can’t afford the big salaries and lavish pension benefits of public employees.
And just this weekend, the League is making a telephone call to hundreds of thousands of Wisconsin citizens revealing that Gov. Walker’s plan will dramatically improve education standards, by allowing incompetent teachers to be fired, giving good teachers merit pay and allowing parents the right to school choice.
For the big unions this is Armageddon!
If they lose in once liberal Wisconsin, they can be defeated in almost every state in the union. And they know this!
This is why I am urging you to support the League’s Wisconsin and national efforts to expose the big unions and defend Gov. Walker.
The League urgently needs your financial support to continue its campaign this week.

>Obama, Get The Heck Out Of Winconsin Politics!

You Won’t Believe Who’s Really Behind Wisconsin Protests

One of the main groups organizing the Wisconsin union protests is a spinoff from an activist academy modeled after Marxist community organizer Saul Alinsky and described as teaching tactics of direct action, confrontation and intimidation.
President Obama once funded that academy – the radical Midwest Academy. He has been closely tied to the group’s founder, socialist activist Heather Booth.
Obama also is closely tied to scores of other radicals behind the Wisconsin opposition protesting Gov. Scott Walker’s proposal for most state workers to pay 12 percent of their health care premiums and 5.8 percent of their salary toward their own pensions.
Walker’s proposal reportedly would save $300 million in the next two years for a state that faces a financial crisis amid a $3.6 billion deficit.
A slew of radical groups and unions have been organizing the protests against Walker’s proposal as well as counter protests to a recent tea party rally in support of the governor’splan.
Obama’s own political machine has aided in organizing protests in Wisconsin.

>AP Says Selig To Name Joe Torre As MLB Executive

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP)—Joe Torre has been hired as Major League Baseball’s
executive vice president of baseball operations, a person with knowledge of the
appointment said.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Friday
because commissioner Bud Selig wasn’t expected to formally introduce
Torre until Saturday.
MLB said Selig would make a major announcement at the new Salt River Fields
ballpark, the spring facility for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies.
The 70-year-old Torre won four World Series titles for the New York Yankees
in a 29-year career as a manager, retiring after last season following three
years with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He played parts of 18 seasons in the majors.
Even when Torre stepped away from the dugout, he insisted he would always
stay involved in the game to some extent—though many figured that might be
in television, or that he would take another managerial job elsewhere unable to
truly call it quits as a skipper.
He likely will help Selig in a variety of roles. MLB lost chief operating officer Bob
DuPuy last fall after he spent 8 1/2 years as the commissioner’s top aide

>Publix Food Stores In Florida Is Discriminating Against Poor Latino Farm Workers

Sign the Petition
I know what you’re going to say: “So waht, huh.”
I know something about how hard farm work can be when you don’t have an education and you work with your hands all day long for a pittance.

When I was twelve or thirteen in Salt Lake County my brother and I used to walk three miles to some farms on 2400 South between Third and Fifth East in South Salt Lake.

This time it was Japanese farmers who discriminated against white kids, having them weed long lines of produce in the hot sun all day for a few cents a row. In my case it was ten cents.
If I made more than thirty-five cents a day I was lucky. but that
was in the late 1940s and early fifties. Times were tough all around
and that’s the only kind of job a poor kid like me could find employment.
So when I read that white farmers mess with living conditions of the
Mexicans I know that it is true. Publix should change their policies
regarding these Mexicans. Maybe they think they don’t have to
because these wet-backs are undocumented workers. As far as the
State of Florida is concerned, they don’t exist. Don White

“If there are some atrocities going on, it’s not our business.”

That’s what Publix supermarket spokesperson Dwaine Stevens
said when he was asked about the workers who pick tomatoes
for Publix. Workers who suffer horrifying abuses.
Publix is a Florida-based company, and farmworkers there
have been mistreated for decades. We’ve learned that the workers
in Florida’s tomato fields — the workers who pick tomatoes for
Publix — endure widespread sexual harassment. Poverty-level
wages. Wage theft. Even slavery.
Here’s an example of the sorts of violations we’re talking about:
In 2008, investigators found more than a dozen people enslaved as
tomato pickers in Florida. They were forced to sleep in box trucks
and shacks, charged for food and showers, denied wages, and beaten
if they tried to leave. Traffickers confiscated their identification
documents, invented debts they could never repay, and hooked them on alcohol to keep them working.
“If there are some atrocities going on, it’s not our business.”
But it is their business. It’s how they make their profits. And it
has to stop.
The Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) has asked Publix to join its
internationally recognized Campaign for Fair Food –– a campaign whose
partners already include companies like Whole Foods, McDonalds, and
Subway. The goal of the campaign is to prevent serious human rights
abuses precisely like those occurring in Florida’s tomato fields.
Abuses that can only be described as atrocities.
So far, Publix has refused even to engage in conversation with the
CIW, let alone consider joining the Campaign for Fair Food. But the
CIW is taking action –– and can help.
Next week, the CIW will be hosting marches and demonstrations at
Publix stores in Tampa and St. Petersburg, Florida. And if we can
get 20,000 signatures on the petition to help Publix tomato pickers
in time, they’ll deliver those signatures to Publix management as
part of the big event.
We need to take swift, decisive action to help Florida’s tomato workers.
Because there are atrocities going on. And it is our business.
Click here to tell Publix to join the Campaign for Fair Food to ensure i
ts workers are treated with dignity.
 Thanks for taking action,
– Patrick and the team
