He may make the starting rotation coming out of spring training
The Yankees have a new pitcher phenom in spring training. He’s Danny Banuelos, who was destined to pitch in the minors for a while, then as he developed he would join the big league team in New York. Generally that takes two to four years of hard-knock pitching – of winning some big games, developing more command on his tremendous fastball, putting a little more zing on his slider, and walking fewer people.
But, do you know what? Brian Cashman may have to eat his words. he said definitely this young man – only 20 – would not break camp with the MLB Yankees, but would be assigned to a minor league team. This is just natural, right? Well, now some observers are saying they think this guy is good enough to make the team as the number five starter.
