·        FEC Is Investigating Obama’s 2008 Election Fund Raising

Don White

Conservatives have wondered for a long time why the Federal Election Commission didn’t investigate Barak Obama’s fund raising for the 2008 presidential election. Since he didn’t take any federal money, his campaign funds weren’t, as a matter of course, investigated. But now FEC investigators are looking into possible fraud on the part of Obama and his campaign operatives.

·        Ayn Rand Wrote Some Steamy, Not Explicit, Sex Scenes

Atlas Shrugged, First Published in the U.S. In 1957 Had Conservative Views

Some folks still erroneously believe that sex is on the rise. What? We didn’t have sex scenes in great books before? Not true. The classics had sex scenes, and that includes Shakespeare and Atlas Shrugged, published 54 years ago. But in these classics they weren’t so abundant and explicit. It is true that the world is becoming more secular and sinful. While belief in God may be temporarily waning in Europe and in other places, among spiritual people—especially in the Americas— faith in God couldn’t be more intense and people more faithful. There is a prophet living on the earth today and he speaks to God and relays truth and optimism to all who will hear, especially at this Easter time. These are thoughts of the Savior, Jesus Christ, and of his atonement for the sins of mankind. The living prophet’s name is Thomas S. Monson, president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints..

·        Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints History Lesson

In subsequent articles, I will present five or six missionary lessons, albeit abbreviated because of space restraints. These lessons will pertain to missionary service as well. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a missionary church. That is, from early in its history, the Prophet Joseph Smith sent missionaries throughout the land, then later to foreign countries. First to Canada and then Mexico, but also Great Britain and Denmark. “Every member a missionary” became a reality, as this church has no paid ministry.

>Pitbull, Jeremih Hit Top Ten On Billboard Hot 100

May 21, 2009 12:12 PM ET
Gary Trust, N.Y.

Pitbull unleashes his first top 10, “American Idol” spurs movement for Katy Perry, Jordin Sparks and the Fray, and Jeremih jumps into the top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart this week.

Pitbull’s 10th Hot 100 appearance marks his first top 10, as “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” jumps 11-4. The song posts an 11-2 leap on Hot Digital Songs with 129,000 downloads (up 69%), while also reaching the top 10 of Hot 100 Airplay (14-9) with 62 million listener impressions (up 10%).

The Black Eyed Peas’ “Boom Boom Pow” spends a seventh week at No. 1 and becomes the act’s first Hot 100 Airplay topper. Lady GaGa’s “Poker Face” holds at No. 2 and Jamie Foxx feat. T-Pain’s “Blame It” again ranks at No. 3. Kid Cudi’s “Day ‘N’ Nite” dips 4-5, Beyonce’s “Halo” descends a spot to No. 6 and 3OH!3 lifts 8-7 with “Don’t Trust Me.” Flo Rida feat. Wynter’s “Sugar” drops from No. 6 to No. 8, while Jeremih collects his first top 10, as “Birthday Sex” sizzles 13-9. The song also takes over the summit of Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Rounding out the top 10 is Soulja Boy Tell’em feat. Sammie’s “Kiss Me Thru the Phone,” which dips from No. 7 to No. 10.

Three of last week’s “American Idol” performances spur movement on this week’s Hot 100. Katy Perry’s “Waking Up in Vegas” rockets 51-13, while Jordin Sparks’ “Battlefield” bows at No. 32. Newly-crowned “Idol” king Kris Allen’s cover of Kanye West’s “Heartless” enticed consumers to download the Fray’s similar organic rendition, which enters at No. 79.

This is a conservative blog, but we welcome all opinions and persuasions. There is a disconnect in a Democratic controlled Congress–a Washington that doesn’t care about the common man, meaning me and you. But the problems of America are broader than one party. The best thing that could happen is that you make comments on this blog. What is it you want? There must be a thousand bloggers that will agree with you and a thousand more that won’t. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that you voice your opinion. BLOG!
