>God Bless You, Too, President Obama

>You know when his re-election machine is in full fast-forward mode. Today, February 3, President Barak Hussein Obama, self-avowed Christian, prayed. His words didn’t say anything about God or Jesus Christ which most Christians would use when praying. He did say, to his credit, “We pray that the violence in Egypt Will End.”

Now that he is officially acting as a true Christian, I hope that my fellow bloggers and pundits will know that Obama wants to restore public trust in him as one of us. The above is what Obama said at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C.

Course, you could say how could he refuse to say those words. I just wish he would show his gratefulness for being an American, for prospering as well as he has since becoming president, for living in a free country, and that he has converted to Christianity from the Islam religion. yes, I know if he said that some outraged Muslim would cry for his beheading. But seriously, we are always praying for our president, no matter what his name is and no matter who he is. He is our president and deserves our prayers.

We also need to pray for our missionaries abroad and at home. And for our military who are always in harms way. God bless them.

>Are Americans Too Soft To Be Free?

>September 25, 2008
Orlando, FL–Sure we want our military men and women to come home. Sure we want them out of harms way. We know it costs America more than $10 Billion per month to keep them in the Middle East.

The question: Is this generation of Americans too soft to be free? I don’t think so, but maybe the liberal politicians are. But if the young people are not soft, why are so many 18-40-something voers so anxious to abandon Iraq? Why are so many heeding the words of an inexperienced three-year senator who, if elected, has promised to bring them all home right away?

Unless you are inspired, you may not understand how other people think–those who are inspired by the Holy Ghost. If you still think you are inspired, then read the following story that is right on line with what is going on in the U.S. regarding Iraq and Afghanstan.

The similarities between when this story was written and now are so vivid and frightening that they jump right out at you. I didn’t make up the following story, it is scripture; but I did paraphrase it, and you don’t have to be a Mormon to understand.

There was once a very religious and brave captain and a good governor of the land. Like America today, the country was at war abroad, but half of those living in the nation’s capital decided they did not like this “unnecessary” war. Nor would they provide foodstuffs and supplies for their troops in far-off lands.

The military men fighting for the freedom of that country did not need bullets and bombs, but seitan (wheat), shoes and boots, cimeters (spears), shields, and swords. Mormons see a direct corollary between today and ancient Book of Mormon times.

This prophetic book contains many wartime stories as well as teachings of Christ with warnings. It was written as scripture, a second testimony of Jesus Christ and the Bible, but also as a history of a people who lived on the American Continent from 600 BCE to about 400 ACE and it was meant to alert us today of what could happen if we turn our backs on God and truth as so many in America are doing. The lives of these ancients seemed to be in almost constant turmoil, excet for some 200 years after the advent of Christ.

I draw a comparison between the U.S. today and those times when dissenters to wars were considered war criminals and jailed or sentenced to death if they fought against the common cause of freedom. Of course, our laws much more favor individual rights than that country’s laws. It is there that we differ somewhat. But both countries were founded on principles of righteousness, fairness, and Christian-Judeo law. In that way, not so much has changed since then.

I am a minor Book of Mormon expert, all Mormons who read and study this book of scripture are experts to some degree. This book is not only a religious work, it teaches and foreshadows our times today. I taught from this book as a minister of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) for 30 months in Finland and since that time I have given numerous talks and lessons, having at one time taught seminary at South High School in Salt Lake City where Book of Mormon was my subject.

I am also an atorney, father of four, writer and author of four books, one currently offered at Amazon.com. covering selling real estate in our difficult times and is called SELLING FAST.

My purpose is to only lightly acquaint you with the concept that if you want true knowledge, lasting and always reliable, you must get on your knees and ask God to bless you with inspiration. I have done so and have come to the conclusion that, yes, we must prepare to get out of Iraq, but only after we have secured the peace and have left a strong, stable Iraq there to defend its freedoms won in battle. Won by the shedding of much American blood.

If you want more information about the Book of Mormon and how it plays an important part in my life and in the lives of almost 14 million members of this church worldwide, please email me: dusanotes@yahoo.com

>Just A Moment of Prayer…

>
ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT….
This is the scariest election We as Christians have ever faced. From the looks of the polls, the Christians aren’t voting Christian values. We all need to be on our knees. Do you believe we can take God at His word? Call upon His name, then stand back and watch His wonders to behold. His scripture gives us, as Christians, ownership of this land and the ability to call upon God to heal it. I challenge you to do so. We have never been more desperate than now for God to heal our land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 :

If my people, which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

During WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England , its people and peace. This had an amazing effect as bombing stopped.

There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America . The United States of America and our citizens need prayer more than ever!

If you would like to participate: each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time, 8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain, 6:00 PM Pacific, stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, for peace in the world, for wisdom and courage for our leaders, the up-coming election, and that the Bible will remain the basis for the laws governing our land and that Christianity will grow in the U.S.

If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along.

Someone said if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.
Thank You

Please pass this onto anyone who you think will want to join us. God Bless You!!!
