>General Petraeus To Head Up New War In Pakistan–Our Fourth War

>Article entry by Don White

General David H. Petraeus,
CIA Director-Designee

Hey, a bright light just turned on in my small mind. It is no wonder that President Obama chose General David H. Petraeus to replace Leon Panetta at the CIA. He will soon be called upon to do something no civilian like Panetta could ever do–commit the CIA in a war only the CIA can fight. It’s aimed at Pakistan and will be manned with CIA agents trained like military people–with assault rifles, gernades, missile launchers, and everything a good army company would have.
It’s common knowledge that Petraeus will use drones to bomb known targets inside Pakistan. Hopefully it will be to wipe out the drug lords and their friends al-Qaeda, the one group that keeps the war in Afghanistan going. It’s all hush-hush and secret and we the taxpaying public aren’t supposed to know about it.
Please read the entire story after you finish this paragraph. It’s important. Read everything.
Gen. Petraeus has served as commander in two wars launched by the United States after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. If confirmed as the next director of the Central Intelligence Agency, Petraeus would effectively take command of a third — in Pakistan. Mind you, this war will not be with the approval of Congress. It will be a covert war, much like Reagan’s Contra activity in South and Central America that drew the animus of Democrats because it was so secret.
In reality President Reagan knew little of the day-to-day activity of the operation. It was spearheaded and led by Vice President George W. H. Bush, former CIA director. Now a good man is going to become corrupt, David Petraeus. Like you, I hate to see it.
But my intelligence tells me the Contra War was an off balance sheet war. It was financed by drug money. Our leaders merely looked the other way in letting drug lords operate out in the open. Of course, then they were our so-called friends. Today they are our enemies as they infiltrate through porous U.S. southern borders and now are located in 230 cities across the nation. We really need to bring home our boys from Afghanistan and elsewhere to fight the drug lords on our land and to tighten up our borders. That fact has become abundantly clear. When is Congress going to be briefed? When are they going to take control of these kinds of nefarious operations, or at least work hand-inhand with the president whom most Americans do not trust? When are they going to make our president bring them out in the open?
